Terms of sale and license
Wispfield is a product of Loomfield Labs, LLC. These terms cover what you are buying, what you may do with it, and what we promise.
1. Who you are buying from
Wispfield is a product of Loomfield Labs, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. Where these terms give a right to, or place an obligation on, “Wispfield”, that right or obligation is Loomfield Labs, LLC’s. Loomfield Labs is the seller of record for every purchase made on this site.
2. What a license is
Buying a license gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Wispfield on up to three computers you own or control, for as long as you like. There is no subscription, no renewal, and no expiry. Payment is once.
Each license carries its own number, issued in order at the moment of purchase. The price you pay is the price of the number you receive, and it does not change afterwards.
Three at a time, rather than three ever. Reinstalling on a computer you have already activated does not use up another one, and when you replace a machine you can release the old one from inside the app and activate the new one yourself, without asking us.
Your license key is what you present to activate. It is yours to keep. Please do not publish or share it: the key identifies your purchase, so a key in circulation is your purchase in circulation, and we may revoke a key we find published.
3. Activating, and working offline
Activating exchanges your key for a license file that is stored on that computer and names that computer. The app renews it quietly from time to time. That exchange is the whole mechanism behind the limit above: without it one key would work on any number of machines.
Your license does not expire. The file does, and it renews itself. A file lasts forty-five days, the app renews it well before then, and if it cannot reach us it keeps working for a further thirty days while saying so on screen. Nothing is deleted when a file lapses, and one successful renewal restores it.
Renewing sends three things: your license key, a random identifier for that installation, and the version of the app. Nothing about your work is ever sent. The privacy page says exactly what that identifier is and is not.
4. Updates
Your license includes every Wispfield update through 1.x. Updates are offered, not forced; you decide when to install one, and the app will not interrupt work in progress to apply it.
5. The free trial
Wispfield runs in full for seven days without a license and without a card. Nothing is held back during the trial, and nothing is charged when it ends. When it ends, the app stops starting new work. Your files are yours and stay exactly where they are, in the ordinary folders on your own disk, readable with or without Wispfield installed.
6. What Wispfield does not include
Wispfield ships no model. It runs on model provider accounts that you hold and pay for directly. We take no part in that relationship and no share of what you spend. If your provider changes its prices, its limits, or its terms, that is between you and them, and it may change what Wispfield can do for you.
Which providers work with Wispfield changes over time. The site describes what runs today. Nothing here is a promise that a particular provider will be supported in future, or that one supported today will remain so if it stops being available to us.
7. What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the software or your license key.
- Share one license key with people outside your household or organization.
- Remove or alter the licensing, attribution or notices inside the application.
We may revoke a license that is being distributed publicly, or one whose payment was reversed. Revocation stops the app starting new work. It takes effect the next time that computer renews rather than the moment we act, so it is not instant. It never touches your files.
8. Open source
Wispfield includes open source components, and some are licensed under the GNU General Public License. Installer builds carry a written offer of source for those components. To take us up on it, write to source@wispfield.dev. Where a component’s own license gives you rights, that license governs that component and these terms do not reduce those rights.
9. Refunds
Thirty days, no questions asked. The full policy is on the refunds page, and it forms part of these terms.
10. Warranty and liability
Wispfield is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free of defects, or that it will suit a particular purpose. It runs AI coding agents against your files, and those agents make mistakes. Keep your work in version control. Review what an agent changes before you rely on it.
To the extent the law allows, Loomfield Labs’s total liability arising out of your use of Wispfield is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you bought as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything here.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for future purchases. The terms you agreed to when you bought are the ones that govern your license, and we will not change them retroactively to reduce what you were sold.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Loomfield Labs, LLC maintains its principal place of business in Broward County, Florida. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located there. If you bought as a consumer somewhere that gives you the right to bring a claim locally, this clause does not take that right away.
